West Coast Flipping Championship 2022

West Coast Flipping Championship (WCFC) is back for third second annual competition at Blade Show West. This year we are headed to Salt Lake City, Utah at the Salt Palace Convention Center on Saturday, October 8th, 2022.

WCFC is a balisong/butterfly knife flipping tournament held annually at Blade Show West. The competition features 32 flippers in a head-to-head live blade showdown for wicked sick prizes and massive bragging rights.

Audience

Join us for the most exciting flipping competition of the year. All audience members will have a chance to win amazing prizes (t-shirts, gift cards, and more)! WCFC is free to watch for all Saturday Blade Show West ticket holders.

Details: Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at Blade Show West located at Salt Palace Convention Center in Room 150G at 4:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Registration - Competitors

There are 26 spots available for online pre-registration. There will be 6 walk-in spots available and will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will accept walk-ins up until Saturday, October 8th 2:00 pm or until all the spots are filled.

Please register in advance if you wish to secure a spot to compete. Registration for West Coast Flipping Championship is $25. All competitors must have a valid Saturday Blade Show West ticket to compete. Registration will be closed when all the spots are filled.

REGISTRATION IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS.

2. You will receive an email within 24-48 business hours to finish registration. YOU MUST complete the form emailed to you to be successfully registered.

Competition Rules

Rules: Live blades only (no trainers)
No additional props (blindfolds, lights, etc.)
No closing, covering, or obstructing vision in any way.
One balisong only. No doubles.
No oversized balisongs or baliswords

All competitors must have valid Saturday Blade Show West tickets to enter the venue and compete.

All competitors MUST check in on time. There are two mandatory check ins, please make sure you check in to both on time or you will be disqualified.

CHECK IN #1: All competitors must sign in between 12:00-3:00 pm on the day of the competition at the Squid Industries' Booth (Booth #100A).

CHECK IN #2: All competitors must sign in with us at the stage waiting area (outside of Room 150G) by 3:15 pm.

Participants who fail to meet these requirements will not be allowed to compete.

Timote has been at Blade HQ for over 8 years. His work mostly involves special projects and curating the Blade HQ catalog. Timote loves all knives and considers himself to be a man of many hobbies.

PaLl Jenkins

Occupation: DRIGK and Shop Soet Owner
From: San Diego, CA

Artist, Musician, Producer, and owner of Shop Soet and Bladebae (also known as Damn Right I Got Knives - DRIGK). Pall is an avid knife collector and balisong flipper. He frequently interviews makers, flippers, and content creators as DRIGK LIVE.
